Change in prefixes

On October 1st, 2009 the Polish 080x and 070x prefixes have been changed to 80x and 70x in short term. So in these number ranges there doesn´t have to be dialled “0” at the beginning of the prefixes anymore.

If a caller uses the old prefix with “0” he will hear an automatic and free of charge announcement of this change and the call will be disconnected afterwards automatically. Then the caller can dial the number again using the new prefix. This announcement will stay implemented until January 15th, 2011.

Due to the change in short term not all Polish carriers have made the necessary changes yet. The new prefixes can´t be reached partly.

So we recommend you to put the “0” in parentheses in actual advertisements like (0)703. For advertisements in the future only the new prefixes should be used.

If further questions appear don´t hesitate to contact us.

With best regards,
Your Telequest Team
